Latest NewsGlobal Semiconductor Sales Increase 6.4% Month-to-Month in July
Worldwide chip sales in July up 135.1% year-to-year; year-to-date sales through July exceed highest-ever annual total WASHINGTON, Sept.
4, 2026 – The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) today announced global semiconductor sales were $146.8 billion during the month of July 2026, an increase of 6.4% compared to the June 2026 total of $137.9 billion and 135.1% more than the July 2025 total of $62.5 billion.
Monthly sales are compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization and represent a three-month moving average. SIA represents 99% of the U.S. semiconductor industry by revenue and nearly two-thirds of non-U.S. chip firms.
“The global semiconductor market grew on a month-to-month basis for the 17th consecutive month in July, and the industry has already reached its highest-ever annual global sales total just seven months into the year,” said John Neuffer, SIA president and CEO. “Sales into the Americas, the Asia Pacific, and China continue to push strong year-to-year growth.”
Regionally, year-to-year sales in July were up in the Americas (171.3%), Asia Pacific/All Other (134.9%), China (123.6%), Europe (85.2%), and Japan (50.8%). Month-to-month sales increased in Japan (9.2%), the Americas (8.7%), Asia Pacific/All Other (6.8%), Europe (5.2%), and China (2.9%).
