vivo is giving the standard X500 a major camera upgrade, including the X300 Pro’s 50MP LYTIA-828 main sensor.
The X500 also gets a Pro-level 64MP periscope camera, with CIPA 5.5 stabilization and 4K/120fps slow-mo video.
This could signal a shift in vivo’s flagship strategy, with top-tier camera hardware moving down from Pro and Ultra models.

The vivo X300 Pro has earned a reputation as one of the best camera phones you can buy today, and for good reason. Its combination of a large main sensor, a capable telephoto camera, and excellent stabilization made it a serious photography tool rather than just another flagship with a long spec sheet. Now, vivo is doing something far more interesting with that camera hardware: putting much of it in this year’s regular X500.
